I want to be a voice for the people and give back to a community that has given me so much throughout the last 40 years. Growing up in West Jefferson, I learned at a young age the value of being civic minded, which truly makes our small town a great place to live. Working in a Township that has grown from eleven thousand residents to over twenty eight thousand in the last 18 years has given me a unique perspective of what lies ahead for Jefferson Township - growth, funding, demand for services and meeting the on-going needs of the voters and community we serve. I will work to strengthen the Township and the services offered. I serve no political party allegiance or hidden agenda, I will simply serve the will of the people and do what's right.
- Tax Base - The state officials have blatantly ignored our needs at the local levels. This has caused tax levies to show up on local ballots in communities all over Ohio. I will work every day to hold them accountable to our residents! Communication is key to succeeding in our efforts to prevent the small towns, like ours, from being over looked.

- Communication - Communicate with residents and make certain they know where their money has been spent and where the future monies will be invested. Fire apparatus, medics, manpower, gear, etc. come at a hefty price. By communicating openly and transparently, tax payers can rest assured they've made a wise investment in their own safety.

- Accountability - When elected officials sit in office for years and sometimes decades, it can create unaccountable politicians. This needs to be reined in at a local, county, state and even federal level. Elected officials serve the people who elected them, too many have forgotten.
I'm on the ballot for one reason. I see the need for a revised business model within our local government. I will work with our local, county and state officials to ensure that our township needs are being met. My experience and training of nearly 25 years will prove invaluable to challenges we as a community will be facing over the next several years. I've seen what has worked and what hasn’t and learned from others mistakes. By utilizing my knowledge and experiences to benefit our community, we can save tax dollars while improving services to our residents.
