Preservation Parks Tax Levy

Voters in Delaware County will decide on a 10-year parks levy that would raise more than $6.5 million annually. The total includes an existing 0.6-mill levy that’s set to expire at the end of 2018, plus an additional 0.3 mills. If approved, it would cost about $29 per $100,000 of valuation and would take effect in 2019. Taxpayers currently pay about $19 a year per $100,000 for the county park system.Related coverage:Central Ohio voters to decide 3 parks levies in November (Sept. 7, 2017)Delaware County parks board to seek bigger tax (May 15, 2017)
