Keep Kenny Brown....He's making a difference!
I am running for re-election so I can continue to make a difference for the taxpayers in Boone County. I was not looking for a job when I ran for Boone County Clerk, I was looking to make a difference! And making a difference is exactly what I have done!
Here's what making a difference looks like--
-Lowered Clerk's operating budget 1st year in office
-No operating budget increase for 7 consecutive years
-Returned $1.6 million in surplus at the end of 1st term (2014)
-On pace to return another $1.6 million at the end of current term (2018)
-Enhanced and grew online Clerk transactions that improved customer convenience
-Led public awareness campaigns to stop KY Legislators' proposed fee and tax hikes related to County Clerks' Offices statewide.
Over the past seven years, my staff and I have taken on the long list of much needed improvements full force by making process changes and cost effective upgrades to the office for a more business- and customer-friendly experience. I must say that I could not be more proud of my current staff and the many improvements we accomplished. The most notable and successful changes have been in the automobile registration renewal process. My team and I oversaw the promotion and tremendous growth of an online Web Tag Renewal System and an automated 24/7 Phone-in Tag Renewal System that is relieving long lines and dramatically improving customer service.
Under my conservative leadership, the Clerk's Office realized unprecedented growth of surplus cash on its balance sheet. In 2014 the office returned $1.6 million surplus to the taxpayers/fiscal court at the end of my first term in office – twice as much as returned by the previous County Clerk.

Common Sense for Common Ground
I am seeking the Office of Boone County Clerk to faithfully serve the residents of Boone County. I firmly believe the Clerk’s Office should be non-partisan in all its functions. Therefore, I am not seeking this office to promote any party’s platform. We need more honesty, integrity, and common sense in our representatives and officials.
Following the Constitution and the law will be my highest priority. I support any efforts to protect our civil liberties. I will work hard to serve ALL residents of Boone County.
As the Boone County Clerk, I will work hard every day to ensure that all the residents of the county, as well as those that work for the Clerk’s Office, are treated fairly, with respect, and according to the law. I will work to increase voter engagement and assure the security of our election systems. I support any legislative efforts to expand voter participation, including mail-in ballot and automatic registration initiatives.
I would like to increase the civic involvement of the Clerk’s office by personally reaching out to local businesses that use the Office’s services and exploring ways for more efficient interactions.
I would work with our local high schools to increase civic engagement in our local elections.
I have had over 20 years of supervisory experience that will serve me well as the County Clerk.
