Community Involvement Commissioner- City of Union, KY
I am a conservative at heart. I have lived in Boone County and Union area for over 30 years. I have seen what government; both at a national and local level, have done to the working man. It just appears that every year more of our disposable income goes to the functioning of government. I believe in “Fiscal Responsibility, Small Government and Free Enterprise.”
I believe in listening and doing what the people want government/me as a Council member to do. To provide the services that are needed for the people in the city at the least cost. I think over the last 8 years my voting record illustrates those beliefs.
Why would I want to cut services that are provided to the citizens of Union? I don't want to cut anything. I will always strive to provide the services to the citizens of Union at the lowest cost. Our budget is fiscally sound and there is no need of a reduction in any services.
I will not raise any fees or taxes unnecessarily in the city of Union. The City of Union is financially sound due to our growth rate. I believe in "Small Government" and believe that we do not need to expand government services. We don't need more government in the lives of our citizens.
