Excellence, Innovation, and Accountability
To make a difference in my community by utilizing my expertise in leadership and education. As a native Kentuckian it is important for me to continue to see our schools moving forward in the areas of innovation, college readiness, and trade education.
My educational background coupled with my senior leadership role at the University level makes me an ideal candidate who understands the need for excellence in every area of education. Character, Consistency, and Charisma are three attributes that I possess and believe will be a welcomed addition to the Boone County Board of Education. I believe in students first and will be creative in helping design programs to recruit and retain the best teachers to educate our students.

Bringing the pieces together...schools, families and the community
I am running for the Boone County School Board, District #4 because I believe the best is yet to come for Boone County Schools. We are a rapidly growing school district not only in population but also in diversity. It is only with all of us working together, the schools, families and communities can we make our schools be the best that they can be. I thrive on building relationships, bringing resources and people together and finding solutions to challenges which often are completely outside the box. I am a board member of the Rotary Club of Florence, Kentucky. The motto of Rotary which I truly believe in is "service above self". And serving on the Boone County School Board would be an honor and a job which I would embrace deeply just as I have for the past 8 years in all the time I have volunteered and invested in our students and schools.
What makes me the best candidate to serve on the Boone County School Board is that I thoroughly believe in your school district and the great work they have been doing. I have a business background working for Marathon Pipeline in the 90's and law firm administrator in the 2000's. In between, I worked in the community college system in Ohio. I was the youngest fiscal officer in the Ohio Community College system when I served as Treasurer and Dean of Financial Services of Terra Community College, so education is not foreign to me. Attending the Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership was a game changer in my role as an education advocate for everyone. I pride myself on building relationships with many individuals both within the school system and in the community and using those relationships to tackle challenges and build our school communities. I will fill the pivotal role of being a liaison between our families, communities and schools.
