Campaign Message Continue Growth through Progress and maintain our top notch Police, Public Works and Administration Departments while keeping taxes at a low rate.
I am running because I love our city and want to continue to serve the citizens and businesses of Highland Heights. My main goal in the next 4 years is to revitalize the North end of the city, finish the Town Center development, a vibrant $100 million mixed-use development with walkable amenities that will include a medical office building, market-rate apartments, a hotel, restaurants, retail space and parking.
My accomplishments of the past 12 years which include: Annexation of NKU into the city and developing a working relationship with the university, development of the Town Center including Gateway West and Highland Point. I worked with Neighborhood Foundations to bring state of the art senior housing, Highland Village, back to the city, allowing our seniors to remain in the community they love while attracting new residents to the city. Highland Heights is recognized and admired as a well-managed, growing and exciting community that offers residents convenience, comfort and a competent local government. It is place that maintains that small town feel even as it attracts new businesses and investment.
I wouldn't be willing to cut any services at this time. The future of the City looks bright as our businesses continue to grow.
At this time I see no need to raise taxes or fees with the good economy and the growth of businesses in the city. Highland Heights has not raised taxes in 12 years due to strong fiscal management, the effective delivery of services and the growth of businesses and tax base.
