Campaign Message Working collectively to make Erlanger better. My experience in government, in business, and with charitable and community organizations has equipped me with the skills to build consensus, to rely on others’ abilities, and to bring out the best in Council members, City staff and residents to make Erlanger an even better place to live and to work.
I have lived in Erlanger for almost my entire life. I attended school in Erlanger, restored a historic home in Erlanger, and built my business in Erlanger. I have raised my own children in Erlanger. I love this City and am running to make my hometown an even better place to live, to work, and to raise our families.

My goals are to continue to lower taxes; to continue bringing in more good jobs; to expand our parks system; to add a park honoring our veterans; to add a dog park; to reduce blight and to ensure that rundown properties are repaired and rehabbed.
I have experience in preparing and managing the City’s budget. As Finance Committee Chair for the past 6 years, we have retained the same tax rate twice and lowered our tax rate four times. At the same time, we have accumulated a surplus which has enabled us to increase employee pay, especially for Police and Firefighters, which has improved retention in those departments. As chair of the Economic Development Committee, I introduced legislation which has resulted in the development of the abandoned Showcase Cinema property, which will soon bring hundreds of jobs to our City. As a business owner, I have experience in creating and managing a budget, in meeting a payroll, and handling personnel issues, all of which equip me to serve as Mayor. I have the support of the overwhelming majority of Council members. This will benefit the City, as it will promote a productive working relationship between the Mayor and Council, enabling all of us, working together, to move the City forward.
I do not believe there will be any need to cut services. Erlanger has rightly prided itself on the quality of services provided to our residents. The increased revenue which will come from the development of the Showcase Cinema property will make it unnecessary to cut services. I believe Erlanger will, through careful management of our budget, be able to continue offering excellent police and fire protection and public works.
I see no need to raise any taxes, as we will be generating increased revenue from new sources do to the incoming jobs at the Showcase site. In fact, I believe we will soon be in a position to lower our Insurance Premium Tax.

Campaign Message I’m running for Erlanger Mayor to reignite a culture of compassion, respect, and cooperation within our city. I will accomplish this by empowering our citizens, our business owners and our city employees to share their ideas and extend their hand to their neighbor. What we need, as a city, are real ideas and real solutions to keep us moving in the right direction and to continue to improve the quality of life for everyone that is touched by our community.

What we need, as a city, are real ideas and real solutions to keep us moving in the right direction and to continue to improve the quality of life for everyone that is touched by our community.
I am committed to developing creative solutions for Erlanger’s future. By utilizing the idea of continuous improvement, I will make data driven decisions to increase efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of our city operations. In our world today, I understand that if we aren't constantly trying to improve, than we are moving backwards. I will strive to increase property values and quality of life for our citizens and business owners. I will listen to dedicated public servants as well as community partners to provide real ideas and real solutions for our city.

I pledge to conduct myself in a manner that is honest, transparent and respectful. I am committed to working hand in hand with City Council in order to advance our great city.
At this point there is a surplus in the city's budget of over $10 million therefore I'm not willing to cut any services to our citizens. There are always ways for us to improve services and become more efficient however simply the elimination of a service is unnecessary.
Erlanger has decreased property and tangible taxes for the last 4 years and I believe we can still do more to reduce the tax burden on our residents and business owners. We have recognized over the last 4 years and increase in economic development and property values. Residents and businesses alike are choosing to call Erlanger home with the confidence that our city is moving in the right direction. For the time being, there is no foreseeable reason for Erlanger to raise fees or taxes.
