Measure T - County of Fresno – Charter Amendment Section 21 (Chief Probation Officer)

Fresno County Charter Section 21 provides that the Fresno County Probation Officer is appointed by the judges of the Superior Court of Fresno County. Voter approval of this measure would mean the Probation Officer of Fresno County would be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the County Administrative Officer with prior approval by the Board of Supervisors and with consultation by the Judges of the Superior Court. County Measure T, if approved by the voters, will apply to the incumbent Probation Officer as of the effective date of the measure and any subsequently appointed probation officer. This measure was placed on the ballot by order of the Fresno County Board of Supervisors.
