3 favorite endorsements for this election Lisa, Mitch and Megan (my family)
1) Continued support of emergency service and schools. 2) Planning for and managing growth, with focus on infrastructure. 3) Economic development to encourage quality jobs.
Expansion of necessary utilities into all areas of the County to promote development which will not over burden roads and schools.
Continued use of economic incentives to encourage investment, creating above average wage jobs.
Immigration is a Federal issue. I do not support expending County tax dollars without 100% reimbursement.
The Sheriff is a Constitutionally created officer who is answerable directly to the voters. I will provide the Sheriff with such funding as is appropriate to carry out his duties.

Safe and well-maintained schools throughout Henderson county; Address the opioid crisis urgently and proactively with compassion; Preserve the natural character of Henderson County, its agricultural heritage and quality of life
The county should partner with Habitat for Humanity to build houses on land that the county owns. County should apply for State and Federal Grant funds that would provide affordable housing.

Encourage current and future businesses to partner with BRCC to provide training for job skills that are needed for their vacant positions.
Since this is a Voluntary Program, I would encourage the Sheriff to evaluate the need in Henderson County. I am not for separating families. Nor wasting taxpayer monies to participate in enforcement.
Open dialogue with the Sheriff, Monthly reviews of crime reports and conditions in the jail. I personally would tour the jail and make contact with the department's staff. Would encourage community outreach program
