Experience (35 words max) Currently, I am completing my 1st term as a School Board member and has served on numerous boards in Lee County. I have oversight, governance, financial experience, and 4-year experience chairing the Curriculum and Instructions Sub-Committee.
My top priorities for action on the Board of Education are the following, 1) teacher retention; using the Beginner Teacher Mentoring Program and 2) increased school growth district-wide.
Currently, there are policies in place to address these issues in our school district. Discrimination in any form is addressed and when re-writes of policies are necessary these policies are reviewed and revised.
Not the teachers, but allowing certified and trained SROs staffed in all of schools with this duty.
