Experience (35 words max) With being self-employed and owning a successful business for ten years, I am well-versed in the everyday operations of a business to include managing employees and ensuring a balanced budget along with a stable and progressive financial plan.

I will work to identify alternative revenue streams to lessen the financial burden on taxpayers and ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability. With the opioid crisis, it’s critical we provide drug education and strive to acquire partnerships within the community to battle this epidemic.
The county should ensure simplicity of the permitting process and make certain all regulations/ordinances are clear to avoid unnecessary delays and construction costs for developers.
The county should be accountable for ensuring that equal employment opportunities are followed throughout the hiring process. Position recommendations should be made for those who are 100% qualified and nepotism avoided.
According to Assistant County Manager, there are no actual policies in place regarding federal immigration enforcement at the county level. The Sheriff confirmed that ICE is notified upon arrest of an illegal immigrant.
Currently, updates from the Sheriff's department are provided to Commissioners upon request and during the budget cycle. I will advocate for monthly updates and encourage effective community policing.
