Ending gerrymandering/increasing competitiveness of elections

Expanding Medicaid and health care access
I favor modest increases to the minimum wage. However, beyond a general increase of 10-20%, choices should be left to local jurisdictions. Pay equity for equal jobs should be mandated.
I favor redesigning districts every 5 years to MAXIMIZE competitiveness of elections. Governance quality is like other goods: consumers benefit from competition and are hurt by monopoly.
- raising public school teacher salaries; allowing experimentation in paired control trials for different potential policies, with clearly defined, measurable objectives.
Probably, but I'm not an expert in this area.
It should be deferred, perhaps indefinitely. No pressing reason, and huge potential down-side

First, to deliver legislation that is fair to all North Carolinians. Second, to work to increase the quality of life of our citizens through education, environment, health care, and the arts.
North Carolina should increase the minimum wage and then variation in wages should be based on the job requirements and the cost of living in the area.
The redistricting process should be done by an independent panel using a computerized system to analyze the data and produce fair maps. Political parties and incumbents should not be considered.
The state should reduce the number of required tests and focus on teaching students to learn. Place our best teachers in the low wealth schools and provide the needed resources.
Yes, the board members should be diverse in background and follow strict guidelines.
Off-shore drilling makes me concerned for the health of our residents and the environment.
