Experience (35 words max) I am a retired educator serving as a School Social Worker and a School Administrator. I have worked in Rockingham County, WS/Forsyth County, and retired from Guilford County.
Drop-Out Prevention and the implementation of programs that are of interest to students who may not wish to pursue a 4-year college degree.
We already have policies and procedures that address a student’s right to learning and how to address any type of discrimination.
Teachers are already trained – trained to TEACH. Allow them to teach!

Experience (35 words max) I was a classroom teacher for 18 years, an assistant principal for 3 years, and a principal for 9 years in Rockingham County Schools.
3 favorite endorsements for this election I appreciate all endorsements from individuals and groups. I have been endorsed by the Rockingham County Democratic Party and by the Triad Central Labor Council.
One of my top priorities includes the creation of a responsible school budget that prioritizes the equitable allocation of resources for academic and behavioral interventions that support all students. Another is establishing policies that ensure school safety.
While policies are in place that address discrimination and equal access, those policies need to be updated and consistently reviewed for staff, student, and community awareness.
I oppose arming teachers due to liability, added responsibility, and extensive training needed.

No bullying is enforced in all schools. Our School system's mission statement commits a safe, environment in which all students can reach their highest potential. I am committed to upholding our mission statement.
