Experience (35 words max) Vice Chair, Pitt County Board of Education, PTA President, Eastern Elementary and EB Aycock Middle, Graduate, Parents for Public Schools’ Parent Engagement Program, Public school volunteer in Dare and Pitt Counties, 11 years.
Creation of innovative learning opportunities, including those in career and technical education, that engage students of all backgrounds and ranges of ability. Incorporation of soft skills training into required curriculum. Diligent focus on school safety.
Regardless of status in any particular subgroup, students should receive equal access to learning. Existing anti bullying, harassment, and discrimination policies, support the protection of those rights.
Only well trained law enforcement personnel should be armed within our schools.
