What are 2 priority actions for the state to improve K-12 public education? (30 words maximum)

Should NC municipalities have the authority to create police-community review boards with subpoena, investigative and disciplinary powers? (briefly respond in 15 words maximum)

Explain your position on off-shore drilling for North Carolina. (briefly respond in 15 words maximum)

Experience (35 words max) I worked 33 years in child welfare (abuse neglect) in the field and as a supervisor, I have experience writing State child welfare statues and serving on various juvenile welfare boards and commissions.
My two top priorities are available living wage jobs and good basic education for young people. I feel success in these issues makes many of our social issues more manageable.
I feel the minimum wage should be raised to fifteen dollars an hour over several years. The State should promote pay equity and allow local governments to do the same.
I am generally familiar that some states have set up commissions to deal with redistricting, but I would like to see expert testimony on the fairest method to set up such a commission.
It appears to me that the State needs to change the way it allocates public educational funds relative to funding Charters and vouchers. I would also like to see a school construction bond soon.
I support government created police review boards, but not with the authority you indicated.
NC coast drilling not needed, we have enough known oil and gas reserves.
