Experience (35 words max) Four years Board of Education experience as well as 37 years college experience as Instructor, Department Chair, Dean, and Vice President. Post-secondary education includes AAS Nursing, AAS Emergency Medicine, BS Health Services Management and M.A.Ed.

Issues I consider as top 3 priorities include: 1) Budget increases for teacher salaries, technology, and aging infrastructure. 2) Recruitment and retention of highly qualified educators. 3) Continued improvement in campus safety and emergency preparedness.
NC Constitution states " The people have a right to the privilege of education and it is the duty of the State to guard and maintain that right." Lawmakers must protect this right for all.
No, teachers should not be armed. School Resource Officers should be assigned to every school.
