District 71 is a strong family focused district . My top two priorities are school safety and doing what I can, God willing , to stop this opioid crisis.
As conservatives ,we do not single people out by race & gender. We find such segregation divisive . The state legislature should take no action. We believe pay should be based on merit, experience and market.
Which ever party controls the General assembly has the power ,by law to redraw the North Carolina house and senate district lines as they see fit. That is exactly the way to handle it.
Continue the track the current General assembly has begun of funding teacher pay raises and #2, Review the tenure process that is in place.

Removing all barriers that prevent access to opportunity for better and more equitable growth overall

Introducing legislation that focuses on the economics of social issues and their impact on all peoples lives.
Yes on both counts; both sectors, public and private must index fair wages for all based on proven standards with policy based on fairness and justice.
Too many barriers currently exist for a fair 2020 count. Our shadow citizens must be counted. Urban/rural housing patterns analysis needs closer scrutiny as population shifts occur.
Teachers must be valued and so should education; zip code school choice funding coupled with other nuances including need to overhaul higher education for teachers/licensing etc.
They should have authority to create police-community review boards; not with powers beyond this.
Balanced environmental policy, not greed either or approach is necessary. Science matters.
