3 favorite endorsements for this election Our Revolution, Run For Something, and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC)
I want our Board to oppose drilling off our Coast, our schools to be properly funded with non-partisan school boards, and movement towards an in-County mental health and addiction facility.
Housing is quite expensive here. I want to see rental rates go down for mobile homes and apartments. With prices high, less money is being spent in the community.
Most of our employment is Tourism based, causing a need for bringing in larger businesses that provide the opportunity for advancement and a chance to earn a livable wage.
Our current Board implemented a Muslim and Refugee ban a few years ago. This is not acceptable, and the ban needs to be reversed. We can do better than this.
All branches of government should be accountable for their actions, and transparent to their communities. This includes the Sheriff’s Department. We cannot tolerate police brutality or crooked politicians.
