Healthcare expansion through Medicaid expansion & educational investment in public schools in NC.
This should be a focus of the NCGA. Our minimum wage is not enough and should be raised. I believe in an added emphasis on ensuring pay equity for all North Carolinians.
We strongly believe in independent redistricting and actually have it as one of the key issues in our platform. After 2020 a special commission should be allowed to draw the districts in a nonpartisan way.
1. Attract and retain the top talent for teachers with respect for their profession and investment. 2. Rebuild schools across NC and ensure safety requirements and building codes are up to date.
I would like to see more specifics, but I support this measure in theory.
I am firmly against off-shore drilling for NC.
