Experience (35 words max) After teaching Jr. High science and taking time to parent, I served as UNC Sickle Cell Center Program Administrator. My elected positions include Chapel Hill Carrboro School Board, Orange County Board of Commissioners and NC State House.

1. Establish an independent Redistricting Commission with a requirement to evaluate the extent of gerrymandering. 2. Expand Medicaid to cover 600,000 people, create 40,000 new jobs, and return $13 billion in federal tax dollars over a decade.
I support raising the state minimum wage and tying automatic increases to inflation. I support requiring pay equity in all state government wages and evaluating and publishing pay equity measures for other employers
Establish an independent Redistricting Commission starting with the NC LWV’s evaluation of several models and with a requirement to evaluate and continually reducing the acceptable amount of gerrymandering
1. Increase teacher pay to match the national average in 5 years. 2. Restore per pupil funding and the low wealth county supplement
