Experience (35 words max) I have thirteen years of experience as a small town Mayor and twenty-six years as an entrepreneur. I have the knowledge, insight and leadership skills to serve all people across all lines, including political.
I will work to improve education in NC in the long term while looking for additional funding in the short term. Secondly, I will look for opportunities for smaller, poorer communities to thrive in this 21st century economy.
Yes, because businesses are going to always concentrate on their bottom line in the short term, rather than what will ultimately benefit them further out.
Hiring a neutral company whose directive will be to draw the districts with as close to 50/50 Democrat/Republican as possible.
Increase teacher pay and hold them accountable for educating. Do what is necessary so that every student graduates with an Associate Degree or a Certificate of Excellence in a trade.
They should have the authority to do what they feel is best for their community.
