Experience (35 words max) I've worked in medicine for more than 10 years, trained to be a problem solver, to find solutions and get things done. I care about my patients as I will care about my constituents.
Work with school boards to properly equip teachers to educate students and ensure all feel safe. Attract businesses that promote our core values. Improve access to healthcare with focus on disease prevention, mental health, active living and wellness initiatives.
Inclusionary zoning would require developers to set aside a number of units as affordable or opt out by paying an in lieu fee; Ensure homes built to be energy efficient Consider flipping vacant town owned properties
Invest in public education, expand apprenticeships and trade school opportunities; Targeted tax credits to entice large businesses who value a diverse workforce and will create jobs in underemployed areas
Federal law is supreme so we must cooperate, however immigration enforcement falls strictly under the jurisdiction of the US DHS, not our Sheriff's Office. 287(g) agreements are a waste of county funds.
More interaction between the BOC and Sheriff's Department to stay abreast of trends and new issues; Continue to work on building trust in communities.
