The NCGA should implement a graduated plan to raise the minimum wage. They should also encourage pay equity by establishing statutory guidelines, employer incentives, and public/private partnerships.
The Volcker Alliance, lead by Tom Ross, is a nonpartisan organization aimed at rebuilding public trust in government which has the ability to research, analyze, and create the best redistricting plan using the results of the 2020 Census.
We need to support our educators with respect, supplies, salary, working conditions, adequate facilities, and training that makes them stand out as the foundation of an excellent education system.

Education: Supporting initiatives that will improve student academic achievement, increase parental choice and improve the methods by which we deliver education.

Healthcare: Continue to work on reforms that will increase access to healthcare while lowering the overall cost of coverage and provision.
The legislature has already set the example by raising state employee hourly wages to an average $15. Mandating a minimum wage for private sector employers would undoubtedly cost jobs.
Plans drawn by a "nonpartisan" committee or Special Master requiring approval by a 60% vote of each Chamber forces bipartisanship in the redistricting process, while retaining the people's constitutional power.
Systemic changes such as allowing schools more charter like flexibility, particularly over calendar and curriculum and to reduce testing requirements would do more to improve student achievement.
I don't believe it's in their best interest, but municipalities should have that authority.
I don't support endangering the environment or coastal economy while the market doesn't require it.
