Experience (35 words max) As a retired small business owner, I understand the struggle to make ends meet. There's no time for playing games when people depend on you. North Carolina needs Senators that put people before political games.
Jean will fight to create more and better-paying jobs for North Carolinians. The legislature needs to create an environment that helps communities recruit new businesses.
Currently, there are 29 states with a minimum wage that is higher than the federal minimum. North Carolina needs to become the 30th state to grant its citizens a liveable wage.
Jean supports an independent redistricting committee. Racial and partisan gerrymandering in North Carolina has to stop. It’s time to stop stacking the deck and let voters choose their representatives.
Jean will fight to invest in public education. We need to provide a quality education for all children. She will fight for our kids by prioritizing fair pay increases for all of our teachers.
Jean believes that local communities should have the necessary authority for self-government.
Jean will fight to prevent offshore drilling. Our beautiful shorelines need to be protected.
