I am committed to fully funding our public schools and all that that implies. I enthusiastically support the immediate expansion of Medicaid so that we might deliver healthcare to over 380,000 citizens who are too poor to afford any sort of healthcare, other than the emergency room.
Businesses have had ample opportunities to raise wages. They are unlikely to do so. The state must increase the minimum wage and require pay equity for all citizens regardless of race or gender.
Redistricting should be handled by a nonpartisan agency with legislative review in the way of critiquing the final product, but not with the ability to make political changes to the new maps.
Schools must be fully funded, meaning that per-pupil funding should be dramatically increased. Vouchers should be ended, but grandfathered in for those who have already been receiving vouchers.
Yes. This would, hopefully, improve transparency and accountability. Law enforcement should have due-process protection to avoid egregious firings.
I am opposed to off shore drilling. It endangers our tourist and fishing industries.
