3 favorite endorsements for this election Run for Something, Equality NC, #VOTEPROCHOICE
Raise awareness of real conditions in public schools for students and teachers and increased transparency. The education budget should benefit everyone. Increased transparency means equal representation, laws focused on people, and actions by lawmakers that don’t carry ulterior motives.
The government needs to advocate for working people and inspire the business community to follow. Raising wages and promoting equality will have multilateral benefits and make our working class stronger.
After a hopefully equitable census, redistricting should be priority. Districts should accurately reflect the voters who live there, and lines should be drawn by a neutral party.
Listen to and respect teachers when they speak. Put the focus back into PUBLIC schools, making the schools where the majority of our students attend the best in NC.
We do need review boards to be able to work with both the police and the community.
I believe we should look into alternative fuel and value the NC coastal towns more highly than off-shore drilling.
