What are your top 2 or 3 priorities for action on the Board of Education? (40 words max)

What policies, if any, are needed to ensure equal access to learning for undocumented students and other students who face possible discrimination from students, school personnel, or others? (30 words max)

Explain your position on allowing trained teachers to be armed in classrooms. (briefly respond in 15 words maximum)

Experience (35 words max) I have thirteen years experience in public education. I served on the Council of Academic Professionals at the University of Illinois after being selected as faculty/staff member of the year.

Education First in Craven County means building relationships with businesses and community organizations to support our students. Secondly we need to increase parental involvement at the school level across Craven County. Every school should have an active PTO.
I think we live in a county and state that is very proactive about ensuring access to education for everyone. If someone is undocumented a process needs to be in place to help that person gain citizenship.
Anyone in our schools with a weapon needs to be deputized and very well trained.
