Experience (35 words max) I am the founder and CEO of Cloverhound, a technology company headquartered in Charlotte. I started the company in part to create jobs and opportunity in Charlotte, and three years later we employ 14 people across North Carolina, Colorado and Ohio.
3 favorite endorsements for this election North Carolina Association of Educations (NCAE), Equality NC, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Association of Educators (CMAE)
Public education should always be the first priority in the General Assembly. We must work to improve our schools and our children’s futures. Also, we must expand Medicaid to create jobs and make healthcare more affordable for North Carolina families.
I am a strong supporter of increasing the minimum wage and pay equity. I think these are the best ways to level the playing field.
We must remove political meddling from our maps and move to independent redistricting so our elections are fair and competitive, and all voters have a voice in the electoral process.
We need to improve training for career and technical education (CTE) and college alternatives in areas like trades, programming and IT support. Also, approve a statewide bond to fix our deteriorating and underutilized facilities.
Environment, gun laws, zoning, county land-use & school safety are just some areas I support moving power back to local governments.
I don’t support off-shore drilling. As a nation we need to speed our transition to renewable energy.
