Explain your position on off-shore drilling for North Carolina. (briefly respond in 15 words maximum)

In the event of further inaction from Congress, I will push for North Carolina to form a sponsorship program to allow illegal immigrants who have been living in the state for a particular length of time to formally begin the citizenship process. Decriminalization.
These issues should be left to the businesses: it is the public's responsibility to exercise the power to support, or work for, businesses that pay competitive wages and do not discriminate.
Redistricting should be non-political and done only on a population basis.
I would push for the re-implementation in K-12 of the Trivium method of education, and work to reform our system of standardized testing.
I do not support giving judicial powers to police-community review boards.
I do not support off-shore drilling.

We need to end gerrymandering. Progress begins with ensuring a fair political process for all.

Investing in early childhood education is the key to giving every child a better chance at a successful future.
Yes - North Carolina needs to protect workers and the stagnant 7 dollar minimum wage simply isn't enough.
An independent redistricting commission will take politics out of the process and ensure voters pick their representatives - not the other way around.
Raise teacher pay and give schools the supplies and support they need. North Carolina has built its reputation on public education and it's time to revive that legacy.
Yes, it's an important part of building trust between police departments and communities they serve.
I'm with Governor Cooper - not off our coast.
