Experience (35 words max) As a public education advocate and policy analyst, I have worked since 2011 to bring practical, fair solutions to our school board. I have served two terms as Board Chair, two terms as Vice Chair
1) Advocating for adequate resources to support the excellent public schools that our students deserve. 2) Making Wake County Public Schools the first, best choice for Wake families; #ChoiceWithPurpose to support integrated, inclusive public schools, including strong magnet schools.
The US Supreme Court establishes the right to K-12 public education for all students, regardless of immigration status. All policies should be applied to all students equally, not disproportionately.
For safety reasons, only trained law enforcement officers should have firearms on a school campus.
