Experience (35 words max) I have served as a member of the Board of Education since 2009, serving in various leadership roles including board chair in 2013. I currently serve as chair of the Student Achievement Committee.
Develop more effective policies that support struggling and low-performing schools. Promote policies that focus on providing better access to high-quality early childhood education. Develop and strengthen policies that ensure the appropriate levels of education funding.
Current policies ensure equal access to learning for all students, however, stronger policies could be enacted that speak to the rights of undocumented students and others who may face discrimination.
The only armed personnel in a school or classroom should be trained law enforcement officers.
