Experience (35 words max) I’m US Navy Vet, have been a small business owner, served on the board of Trustees for CCCC and been a commissioner. My record is one of bringing investment and jobs to the county while focusing on environmental protections.

First priority is to bring high speed broadband access to everyone in the county. Internet access is now critical to ensuring job creation, improving our schools, and personal safety. No more excuses! We can accomplish the by 2022.
Remove the obstacles put in place by the current commissioners that prevent developers from building affordable housing. Encourage more rental housing development and support non-profits like Habitat for Humanity.
We must work more closely with Raleigh to properly promote and recruit advanced manufactures to our large commercial sites in Siler City and Moncure. We need to make it easier to open small businesses.
County law enforcement should cooperate with all other law enforcement agencies to ensure our laws are enforced. Violent offenders should be removed from our community using all existing laws.

Fully fund education and expand opportunities for technical career paths in partnership with our community college. Improve infrastructure, including emergency radio and broadband expansion. Continue to watchdog Jordan Lake water quality, and develop regional water supply partnerships. Prevent fracking locally.
Lease county property to developers seeking USDA funding or tax credits to build affordable housing. As we develop our Unified Development Ordinance we should consider a range of housing incentives.
Focus on expanding small business opportunities. The path to equal employment is through education and technical careers; plus redirecting youth while in school. Programs like Communities in Schools work miracles.
Chatham is a community that has been smacked hard by ICE. We do not seek or welcome this intrusion into the fabric of our county where families are torn apart.
Sheriff’s Department actively engages in community outreach and has achieved high visibility. Our new detention facility has humane conditions with monitoring of prisoner and deputy exchanges, and family visitation.
