I have always had the desire to serve my community as a judge. My temperament, background, and experience make me the ideal candidate. If given this opportunity, I will dedicate myself to ensure our judicial system is even stronger and more efficient for all who pass through the courtroom doors.
Experience (35 words max) Partner at Ferguson, Hayes, Hawkins & DeMay, PLLC in Concord. 11 years of private practice in Cabarrus County in the areas of civil litigation and domestic law. Former President of the Cabarrus County Bar Association.
A trial judge's role is to fairly interpret and apply the law as written by the legislature, not to dictate his or her own version of equity. This is the guiding principle I will bring to the District Court bench. For more information on my qualifications and experience, please visit www.demayforjudge.com.

3 favorite endorsements for this election Bill Baggs - Clerk Of Superior Court; Scott Padgett - Former Mayor City of Concord
Having held this position from 2000-2010, I am keenly aware of the requirements to fulfill this position. Most importantly, patience in dealing with the parties in order to hear their positions, and the ability to practically apply the law to the facts and evidence presented to the court.
