Experience (35 words max) I became an attorney in 2004. I was elected to the bench in 2010. I am a NC Juvenile Court certified judge. Previously, I was an Assistant Public Defender and an attorney for Bush & Powers.

I am fair and impartial, I protect citizens’ rights by upholding our constitutions and laws, and I represent the profession with the highest integrity. Through children, I positively impact our community so that it is safer but also more compassionate towards each citizen despite their backgrounds.
Experience (35 words max) I have spent over twenty years in the legal system - as a courtroom clerk, legal assistant, and as an attorney. I run my own practice and also serve as a farm-out attorney for the public defender's office of Mecklenburg County.

Beginning in 1997 as a courtroom clerk, justice and the legal system have been my passion. I received my JD in 2004 and have run my own legal practice, focusing on family and criminal law, and have volunteered for the Council for Children's Rights and Women's Commission since 2006.
