Experience (35 words max) I graduated from Burgaw High and received a B.S. Degree in Biology from East Carolina University. For 20 years, I have served on the Board of Education, presently as Chair. I have also served as Past President of the NC School Boards Association.

Top priorities in Pender County for the board of education are 1. Safety in our schools. 2. Proper funding. 3 Rapid growth 4.Hiring and retaining highly qualified educators and administrators.

By law all school age students in Pender County are allowed to enter public schools regardless of race, color, creed, or citizenship. Discrimination will not be tolerated.
I believe only special, highly trained, paid safety experts should be allowed to protect our schools
