The Board should advocate for lower taxes in every area for all Californians. Protect Prop. 13. Taxes should be made simpler so tax filing is easier. California taxes should conform to federal taxes when it benefits California taxpayers.

In light of recent federal tax legislation, California needs to consider completely restructuring its tax code. I believe that piecemeal adjustments will not get the job done, and that nothing should be left off the table for consideration.
