Library Bond

This $12 million bond would go toward two new libraries for Meridian. One would be part of a campus near Amity and Eagle roads that would combine Hillsdale Elementary school with a city park, a new pool and a Treasure Valley YMCA. The other would be paired with another new public pool at Black Cat Road and Chinden Boulevard. This is a repeat of a bond issue that failed in November 2015.The bond would cost homeowners an estimated $11.05 per $100,000 of taxable property value per year for 20 years. As a bond issue, two-thirds of voters must be in favor of this proposal for it to pass.Follow this link for a Q&A with more details about the proposal.
